Bluestone Home Loans has announced the appointment of a new state manager as well as several other appointments and promotions within its sales distribution team.

Tommy Lee (pictured above) has assumed the role of state manager for New South Wales, ACT, and South Australia. Lee joins Bluestone from Commonwealth Bank, where he previously led the third-party banking support team in NSW. He has 17 years of experience across operations, aggregation, lending, retail and fintech.

“What brokers are looking for are trusted partners that can improve the customer experience and add more value,” he said in a media release.  “You’ve only got to pick up an industry mag and look at the surveys to see that brokers need support with non-standard lending, and more value outside of the mortgage transaction.”

Lee said he left the big four for a non-standard specialist like Bluestone in a bid to apply his expertise to enhance the non-bank’s broker offering, with a focus on maintaining service quality while boosting volume.

“I know brokers inside out, so I can see and understand the frustrations that they go through on a daily and even hourly basis,” he said. “I’m picking up all those experiences and bringing them to Bluestone. If we’re going to win the game, we need to play heavily in the market of New South Wales, ACT, and especially with the brokers.”

Other appointments, internal hires

Bluestone also made strategic hires and promotions to further strengthen the non-bank’s broker support and expand its presence in key regions.

Trent Homann joins as BDM for NSW, bringing 11 years’ experience in non-standard home loan sales and lending from RedZed. Natalie Cannizzaro, also a BDM for NSW, boasts considerable experience in broker sales and service, having previously worked at NAB Broker and Bluestone Home Loans.

Grace Munro, the new BDM for Victoria, arrives at Bluestone from aggregator LMG, bringing with her a vast experience spanning more than 24 years, covering diverse facets of lending, including non-standard lending, mutual banking, major banks, and aggregation.

Another BDM for Victoria, Nirali Patel, has more than 16 years of diverse experience in the mortgage industry, ranging from fintech to third-party and retail banking, and includes roles in non-standard lending and banking at MyState Bank and Bendigo Bank.

Ann-Maree Cockburn takes on the role of broker success manager for Victoria. She has more than 18 years of industry experience and previously served as a franchise principal for Aussie Home Loans in Glen Waverley.

Jodie McNicol, BDM for Queensland, brings more than 30 years of experience in non-standard lending and retail banking, as well as credit and compliance coaching, gained from previous positions at Liberty, BOQ, and CBA.

Three broker success managers at Bluestone were promoted to new roles.

Josie Piscopo, with more than 15 years of sales and service experience in both banking (NAB, CBA) and mortgage broking, was appointed BDM for VIctoria.

Kelly Wright, who has more than 16 years of experience in sales, service, operations, lending, and collections, was named BDM for NSW.

Amanda Foley takes on a new role as BDM for NSW. She has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and financial services, with expertise in retail, third-party, and non-bank lending.
