There is only one week to go until the mortgage industry’s night of nights returns as an in-person event for the first time in three years.

Hosted at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney, on Friday October 14, 2022, the black-tie event is the most important on the industry calendar.

The AMAs celebrate the best brokers, aggregators, lenders and BDMs within the industry and is an opportunity to connect with colleagues and industry professionals who have demonstrated a high level of commitment and achievement throughout the year.

The AMAs are proudly organised by Key Media and supported by Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Australia.

Westpac is once again the event partner for this year’s celebration – the 13th consecutive year Westpac has supported the AMAs.

The awards are also sponsored by Adelaide Bank, Bankwest, BOQ, Commonwealth Bank, Dye & Durham, Equity-One, FBAA, Firstmac, La Trobe Financial, Liberty, MFAA, Mortgage Choice, MSA National, Nextgen, OnDeck, Pepper Money, PropTrack, Prime Capital, Resimac and Trilogy Funds.

This year’s event will feature 25 categories plus the two major awards - Westpac Australian Broker of the Year and Liberty Australian Brokerage of the Year.

Australian comedian, radio and television presenter Ed Kavalee, regular panellist on Have You Been Paying Attention?, will be the MC on the night and attendees can dance the night away to Furnace & the Fundamentals once the award ceremony wraps up.

La Trobe Financial chief lending officer Cory Bannister said the non-bank was delighted to support this year’s AMAs and award the prestigious Broker of the Year – Commercial award on the night.

“This is an incredibly important segment of the market and economy,” Bannister said. “The finalists are very worthy winners in their own right and we wish them all the best on the night.”

Anthony Waldron, CEO financial services and CEO Mortgage Choice, REA Group, said he was thrilled to support the Best Non-Bank BDM category on October 14.

“More than ever, BDMs are crucial to delivering success for brokers and their businesses, which in turn creates incredible customer experiences,” Waldron said. “Once again, Mortgage Choice is proud to the support the Australian Mortgage Awards and the Best Non-Bank BDM Award.”

Trilogy Funds head of lending Clinton Arentz, meanwhile, said he cannot wait to celebrate Australia’s most valuable and innovative brokers at the 2022 AMAs.

“Brokers are vital and are in such an important role in the nation’s property industry,” Arentz said. “We cannot wait to see you there!”
